Hi Everyone,
Well, HELLO AUGUST!!!!!! Can you believe it, Summer is nearly over??? I don't know about you, but this has gone by too quickly. Kids are already starting back to school, and the stores are begining to gear up for the holidays and the L A County Fair is right around the corner. That always signafied "Back to School" for me. But I say WAIT!!!!! There's still a lot of sun and fun to enjoy here.
I'd like to start off this newsletter by wishing a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY today to Rene, he is our website designer, the one who keeps our CAE Performance site updated and looking great. Without his talents I wouldn't be able to bring you all such a great place to visit. If you haven't been there in a while please check it out at www.caeperformance.com
Now let's take a look at some things happen this month.
On Wednesday Aug 7 is this months Twilight Cruise at the NHRA Museum at the Fairgrounds in Pomona from 4pm-8pm. For a complete listing of their 2013 schedule you can visit their website at www.museum.nhra.com Also be aware there is NO cruise in Sept because of the L A County Fair.
Be sure to come out to the Bob's Big Boy in Norco for their HOT AUGUST NIGHTS shows, held Wednesday Aug 14, 21 and 28 from 5pm-8pm. They are located at 3521 Hamner Ave, Norco 92860. If you are interested in participating in this show, I think it would be a great way to "get your feet wet". You can email Charyle at trollady10@aol.com
Now this one sounds like real fun. On Saturday Aug 17 will be the 1st ANNUAL HOT SUMMER NIGHTS at the Mission Tiki Drive In located at 10798 Ramona Ave, Montclair. This starts at 6pm and the cost is $7 per Adult. This event is being sponsored by the Santa Clarita Valley Corvette Club. If you're a Corvette enthusiast this is the event for you. They will also be show movies so you can make a night of it.
Now if you're not into a night at the drive in with Corvettes you can head up to Wrightwood for the 19th ANNUAL MOUNTAIN CLASSIC CAR SHOW on Saturday Aug 17 from 10am-4pm. This show is open to all Pre-1973 American-Made Rods, Customs, Classics, Muscle Cars and Trucks. There is also a large vendor village, live music, open header contest and plenty of food to keep you going.
On Saturday Aug 24 is the 11th ANNUAL CORN FEED RUN CAR SHOW & CRUISE in Olde Towne Chino from 8am-3pm. This show is open to all Pre-1972 Cars, Motorcycles and Working Show Trucks, and features an open header contest form 1pm-2pm. This is a great show for the whole family and includes music, food and drawings all day. For more details on this show you can go to their website at www.chinokiwanis.com
