Well, I'd like to start by wishing you all a very happy Summer Solstice (first day of Summer) and hope that you enjoy the longest day of the year. Also, I hope all of you Dad's out there had a wonderfurl Father's Day.
Let's seee what we've got coming up.
First I'd like to remind you about the Charity Car Show for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation on Saturday June 23 at Cucamonga-Guasti Park in Ontario from 8am - 3pm. The show is open to to all Customs, Classics, Muscle Cars, Street Rods, Rat Rods, Trucks, Special Interest and Motorcycles. Come out for the show and bring a picnic lunch and enjoy a great day in the sun at the lake. Also on Saturday June 30 don't forget the Kawabunga Cruise at the Bob's Big Boy in Norco from 4pm - 7pm. 200 of Southern California's best local Classics, Hot Rods, Street Machines and Customs gather to kick off the Summer cruising season. Now for some "save-the-date" events to mark your calendars for.
On Wednesday July 11 is the monthly Twilight Cruise at the NHRA Museum in Pomona from 4pm - 8pm. Twilight Cruise admission is free, and all in attendance may visit the Museum at no charge. The cruises feature the Celebrity Picks, great raffle prizes and a huge 50/50 drawing. Vehicles chosen by our celebrity selectors win the opportunity to parade down the Auto Club Pomona Raceway on Sunday morning during the Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Winternationals in February. Food and beverages are available. It's a fun evening and a great chance to see some of the coolest cars in Southern California. On Saturday August 18 is the 18th Annual Mountain Classic Car Show in Wrightwood. The show is open to all Pre-1973 American made Rods, Customs, Classics, Muscle Cars and Trucks. The show will also feature live bands, a vendor village, an open header contest plus "Pit Alley" with exhibition cars, a Pinewood Derby, and Trike drags for kids and adults, and plenty of great food throughout the show. And on Sunday September 23 you must try and make it out to one of the biggest shows of the year. The 16th Annual Mustangs at the Queen Mary presented by the Beach Cities Mustang Club.
