I'm back....did you all miss me?? Sorry I wasn't able to send a newsletter out last week but I was out of town dealing with some very happy family stuff, but I'm ready to get into the swing. So hold on, here we go.
It's June, WOW... can you believe it, Summer is basically here, and we get some of the best shows during the Summer months. Let's take a look at some of the things we've got coming up in June.
Let's first look at what's going on this weekend.
If you're looking for something cool to do tonight then head on out to Ruby's Diner in Whittier for the American Streetrodders Ruby's Friday Night Car Show at Ruby's Diner, Whittwood Town Center, 10109 Whittwood Dr in Whittier. Show starts at 5pm and runs every Friday night now til Oct 26. The show is open to all American cars up to 1975, Hot Rods, Street Rods, Trucks, Customs, Originals and "Get-R-Done" vehicles (no motorcycles please). And be sure to bring your appetite and grab a bite at Ruby's while you're there. On Saturday June 2 we've got a couple of choices for you,
The Friends of Steve McQueen Car Show in Chino Hills at Boy's Republic, 1907 Boys Republic Dr from 8am-2pm. This years show theme is the iconic movie BULLITT.
The 18th Annual Inland Valley Street Rods Rally & Cruise in Downtown Ontario on Euclid Ave from 7am-4pm. This show includes an open header cruise from 12 noon-1pm and an open header contest at 1pm on C Street.
The Car Show in Acton 2012 at Thousand Trails Resort, 4700 Crown Valley Rd from 10am-2pm. For more info on this show you can check out their website at www.carshowinaction.com
I'd also like to give you some save-the-dates for this month.
On Saturday June 9 is the 13th Annual Car & Motorcycle Show Rods & Rails Extravaganza at the Orange Empire Railway Museum, 2201 South 'A' Street, Perris. For more info you can check out www.cityofperris.org
Father's Day is Sunday June 17 and if you're already wondering what to do for Dad, I've got an idea for you. Over Father's Day weekend why don't you bring Dad out to the Greatest Roadster Show On Earth, the 48th Annual L A Roadster Show at the Pomona Fairgrounds, June 16 and 17, show times are 7am - 4pm. The event will feature a roadster exhibition, a trade show with manufacturers and a swap meet, and back by popular demand, a Cacklefest on Saturday from 10am - 2pm. On Saturday June 23 is the 5th Annual Charity Car Show for JDRF at Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park, 800 N Archibald from 8am-3pm. For more info on the show or on the Juvenille Diabetes Research Foundation visit their website at www.jdrfinlandempire.com
