Hi Everyone,
I hope you all had a great 4th of July, spent with family and friends. Whether you were at a large fireworks event or just BBQing in your backyard, I know we all enjoyed the day off!! And now that Summer is in full swing we start getting into some of the best car shows. I just wound out about this one and it's a really great show.
On Sunday July 8 is the 16th Annual Support Your Car Club Council Show & Shine at Upland Memorial Park, Foothill Blvd between Campus and Grove from 9am - 2pm. All Classics Customs and Motorcycles are welcome.
Also, just a reminder, the Twilight Cruise at the NHRA MUseum will be held Wednesday July 11 from 4pm - 8pm in Pomona.
Friday July 13 is National Car Appreciation Day and what better way to spend the day then appreciating some beautiful cars at the American Classic Cars Open House at 2542 N Towne Ave, Pomona from 4pm - 8pm. Proceeds from this event go to benefit San Dimas H.E.R.O.E.S.
Every Friday night through October 26 is Ruby's Friday Night Car Show Cruz'n The Boulevard at Ruby's Diner at Whittwood Town Center, 10109 Whittwood Dr in Whittier from 5pm - 8pm. Show is open to all American cars up to 1975, Hot Rods, Stret Rods, Trucks, Customs, Originals, and Get-Ur-Done Cars (sorry no motorcycles). This is a new show but it should be really exciting. On Saturday July 14 is the Edwards 1st Annual Show N' Shine Car Show at Ewards Air Force Base inside Hanger 1623 from 11am - 3pm. Show is open to all Makes and Models of cars and trucks and be sure to bring your camera so you can get a picture with a real fighter jet. This is also a new show that I just found out about. On Saturday July 28 is the Lake Arrowhead Classics 1st Annual Car and Motorcycle Show Fight for Sight Crusin' in the Village from 9am - 3pm. Open to all Rods, Customs, Corvettes, Trucks, Specialty's and Motorcycles. The show will feature plenty of food, vendors, live music, games and raffles and of course the awesome restaurants and shops in the Village at Lake Arrowgead. I'd also like to give you a save-the-date event coming in October. The 22nd Annual Veteran's Memorial Car Show at the VA Medical Center in Loma Linda on Sunday October 7 from 8am - 3:30pm. This is a huge show and a lot of fun for the whole family. They start the event off with a pancake breakfast at 7am and the food doesn't stop there, great music all day provided by KOLA Radio 99.9FM, you can show your Miltary spirit by getting a set of custom made dog tags, they also have a coloring contest, model car contest and scavenger hunt for the kids.
