Hi Everyone,
Well, can you believe it....July is almost over!!!!! August is right around the corner, the end of Summer. Is it just me or is time just flying by this year? One thing I am excited about is that the Summer Olympics from London will be starting this Friday July 27. How about you, do you enjoy watching the Summer Games? What are you most interested in, is it the "Dream Team" in basketball, or maybe seeing if the womens soccer team can continue where they left off in the World Cup, or are you hoping that Michael Phelps will take home more Gold? WOW, I just can't wait, opening ceremonies tomorrow night, let's all chant USA...USA....USA!!!!!!!
Let's take a look at what shows we've got going on this weekend.
On Saturday July 28 the Ontario Rotary Police Museum presents the Guns and Hoses II Car Show at the Ontario Police Dept, 2500 S Archibald Ave 91761 from 7am-3pm. The show is open to Police and Fire vehicles, Pre-1975 Cars and Trucks, Antiques, Street Rods, Muscle Cars, Classics, Motorcycles and Special Interest Vehicles, also checkout the Cjallengers, Camaros and Mustangs. The show will also feature food truck vendors so bring your appetite.
Also on SatudayJuly 28 is the Sizzlin' Summer ChiliFest & Car Show at Irvine Lakes from 10am-8pm. There is a cost to attend this show, general admission is $5 (kids under 10 are free) and $5 parking, and $5 chili tasting from 12-4pm. But if yu're not a chili fan ther will be other food plus beer and wine, live entertainment all day including an Elvis Tribute concert. The car show is open to Classics 1975 and older, Hot Rods, PT Cruisers, Prowlers and all new Retros 1997-2012. Irvine Lake is located at 4621 Santiago Canyon Rd, Sliverado CA 92676. On SatJuly 28 is the 6th Annual Oak Glen Car Show at Law"s Coffee Shop 38392 Oak Glen Road from 7am-3pm. Rock n' Roll DJ Vic Slick from KOLA 99.9 radio will be on had, and this is a free show to spectators.
On Sunday July 29 is the Bob's Big Boy Classic Car Show & Vintage Era Pinup Contest, at 3521 Hamner Ave, Norco from 4pm-7pm. And coming every Wednesday in August from 5pm-8pm they will have their Classic "Hot" Car Show with HOT WHEELS Contest. Grand Prize sponsored by K&N Filters. Music provided by Retro Rick. And the big show this weekend is on Sunday July 29 is the 19th Annual San Dimas Shine It! Show It! Cruise It! Event in Downtown San Dimas. The show will be held on Bonita between Cataract Ave and Iglesia St from 9am-3pm and is open to Antiques, Street Rods, Classics, and Special Interest Cars. Proceeds from this show go to benefit the San Dimas Sheriff's Booster Club. For more info on this show you can go to their website at www.sandimascarshow.com
