July 12th Newsletter


     
  Hi Everyone,

OK, what is with this weather....hot, humidy, raining, I thought this was California not Florida!!! Let's see if I can heat things up, in a good way, with some awesome car shows. First I'd like to send out a big THANK YOU to Charyle with the Bob's Big Boy Norco, she sent me some great pics from their Kowabunga Car Show last month, the show looks like it was a lot of fun. They've got their next big Summer event coming up on Sunday July 29 from 4pm-7pm, and don't miss they're Hot Summer Nights shows every Wednesday in August, starting August 8 from 5pm-8pm. I'd also like to remind you that this Friday, July 13 is National Car Appreciation Day, and what better way to appreciate some beautiful cars? Head over to American Classic Cars Open House, they are located at 2542 N Towne Ave in Pomona, their event is from 4pm-8pm. On Saturday July 21 is the 2nd Annual Bike & Hot Rod Show at Hwy 66 Choppers located at 4711 Arrow Hwy Suite D in Montclair from 9am-3pm. The show will include food, drink, live music and even a dunk tank. You can visit their website at www.hwy66choppers.com

Now this next show sounds like a lot of fun for the whole family and certainly has the right Summertime music. On Saturday July 21 is the 19th Annual City of Glendale Cruise Night from 5:30-10:30 in the heart of Glendale on Brand Blvd. The show is open to all Pre-1979 cars and will feature K-EARTH 101 FM broadcasting live at the event. There will also be live music performed by CREEDENCE RELIVED and SURFIN' SAFARI, the ultimate tribute to the Beach Boys. The event is hosted by "Mr Rock and Rock" myself Brian Beirne. I'd like to give you a couple of "save-the-date" shows so that you can mark your calendars. Now if you're like me you wait all year for this one. September 13-16 is the 23rd Annual Stater Bros Route 66 Rendezvous in Downtown San Bernardino. Event times are Thursday and Friday 6pm-10pm, Saturday 10am-9pm, and Sunday 10am-4pm. Some of the highlights of the event will be... Friday Sept 14 is the Neon Light Contest (held after dark), Saturday Sept 15 is the Open Header Contest, and on Sunday Sept 16 is the Burn Out Contest from 1pm-3pm. Saturday October 27 will be the 10th Annual Harvest Pumpkin Patch /Car Show at Heritage Park in La Verne from 10am-3pm. This show will feature music, food, hayrides, face painting and of course a pumpkin patch so you can choose your perfect jack-o-lantern. Go to www.laverneheritage.org
