Hi Everyone,
So are you all enjoying this brisk winter weather we are experiencing right now? I hear it will be raining this weekend, I guess that means we're stuck indoors. Well it could always be worse, at least it's not snowing. We do have some pretty exciting football games coming up on Sunday though, let's get your opinion, who would you like to see in the Super Bowl this year? I must admit, my team will not be going.
I was contacted last week by a group involved in the NMRA/NMCA looking for car clubs interested in being a host club for their up coming West Coast events at the Auto Club Dragway in Fontana. For anyone interested you can contact Ron Fetter at rfetter@promediapub.com.
Also, I know that there are many of you who are finishing up your project cars and are looking to get involved in the car show scene, I'd like to suggest to you a light and fun local show, the Bob's Big Boy in Norco holds a monthly show now through Nov. Their first show of the season will be on Sunday Jan 29th from 2pm-5pm. If you are interested you can contact Charyle at trollady10@aol.com for info.
Now I'd just like to remind you all to mark your calendars, we are just over 1 week away from one of the biggest car show events of the year and what is looked at as the kick off event for the season, The 7th Annual Grand Daddy "Drive-In" at the Grand National Roadster Show held at the Pomona Fairplex over the weekend of Jan 28th & 29th. Also, don't forget about the 6th Annual La Quinta Chamber of Commerce Hot Rod and Customs Show on Sunday Jan 29th at the La Quinta Community Park at 77865 Avenida Montezuma, the show starts at 11am. For more details you can go to www.lqchamber.com or call Jeff Van Hoy at (760) 775-8187.
