Hi Everyone,
Welcome to the day after the Super Bowl 2012!! I hope your team was the winner, and if your team didn't play I sure hope you went to an awesome Super Bowl party. I think it would be fun to do a little survey around the Super Bowl today, so here it is.
Why did you watch the Super Bowl? Was it for the commercials, the game it's self or was it for the party?
And I'd really like to get more feedback from you all, I have a faith few who play along, but let's have this be really fun, I'll post the results in my newsletter next week.
Also, you may be noticing that you're getting this newsletter on Monday instead of Wednesday. I did ask last week when you would prefer to receive my newsletter and I did have someone say that Monday would be nice, that way he has time to plan for the weekend, THANKS RICK!!! So here we go...
Be sure to mark you calendars, the Winternationals are coming!!! Thursday Feb 9th and running through Sunday Feb 12th at the Auto Club Raceway at Pomona, as part of the 2012 NHRA Full Throttle Series.
Starting Thursday February 9th and Friday February 10th, gates open at 7:30 a.m. and highlights for the day will be Pro Stock Car Qualifying 1:30 p.m. and 300+ mph NITRO Burning Funny Car / Top Fuel at 2:00 p.m. Friday February 10th will also include Night of Champions at the Wally Parks Motorsports Museum admission is Free at 6:00 p.m.
Saturday, February 11th, gates open 7:30 a.m. with days events being Pro Stock Car Qualifying 11:00 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. and 300+ mph NITRO Burning Funny Car / Top Fuel at 11:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.
Championship Sunday February 12th, 16 Qualified Drivers in Pro Stock, Funny Car and Top Fuel battle for the Wally Trophy!!! Gates open at 7:30 a.m. Race Day Driver Introductions at 10:00 a.m. Top Fuel / Funny Car Round One at 11:00 a.m. Pro Stock Car Round One at Noon, Top Fuel/ Funny Car Round Two at 1:00 p.m. Pro Stock Car Round Two at 1:45 p.m.Top Fuel / Funny Car Semifinals at 2:45 p.m Pro Stock Car Semifinal at 3:10 p.m. Pro Stock Car Final at 4:10 p.m. Funny Car / Top Fuel Finals 4:15 p.m.

This is one of the biggest racing events of the year, and we really enjoy it here because we are so close to the track and can hear each run, and even get our windows shaken with a few of them.
