Hi Everyone,
Welcome to September!!!
I'll tell you, Summer really seemed to fly by this year. It seems like just yesterday we were gearing up for Memorial Day Weekend, the "unofficial" start to Summer, and now here we are getting ready to start our Labor Day weekend, the "unofficial" end of Summer. Just like that, it done. And now we get, what I view as the starting event to Autumn, the L A County Fair opens this weekend and runs Sept 3rd - Oct 2nd. This opening 3 day weekend there is $1 admission, so try and make it out for some PURE FUN.
So here we go with some fun things to do this coming up weekend.
On Sat Sept 10th is the Sept Village Grille 50's Cruise Night in downtown Claremont from 5pm - 8:30pm. They had an awesome turn out in Aug and it would be great to have even more cars and spectators show up this month. So try and make it out, and if you do be sure to stop into the Village Grille and say HI to Sandy!
On Sat Sept 10th come out to the Inland Empire Blues and Roots Festival and Classic Car Show at Fender Center for the Performing Arts at 365 N Main St, Corona. The show is open to Rods, Custom Muscles, Classic Cars, Trucks, Corvettes, and Specialty Vehicles. The gates open at 2pm, the car show starts at 3pm with a concert at 4pm. On Sat Sept 10th is the 2nd Annual Covina Yellow Ribbon Car Show will be held at Covina Park (Badillo Ave and Fourth Ave) from 2pm - 6pm), the show is open Street Rods, Custom Classics, Corvettes, Antiques, and Muscle Cars. Come out early for the entertainment and shopping in downtown Covina, and take advantage for the letter witting opportunity for our Military, proceeds from the show go to benefit the Covina Yellow Ribbon Project. Also on Sat Sept 10th Street Rods Forever present the 21st Annual Hot Rod & Custom Charity Car Show from 9am - 3pm in Downtown Historic Monrovia at Myrtle Ave, with a parade at 9:30.
