Hi Everyone,
Well, I just don't know what's happened.....my calendar says mid October but the weather outside is screaming mid Summer. I'm very familiar with Indian Summers, having grown up in California, but this is truly ridiculous. ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!!! OK, enough of me whining, I've got a couple of really unique events for you this coming weekend.

With special appearances by the stars of these movies, the "Graffiti 32 Coupe" and "Christine" and a meet & greet with cast members. Meet the Kalifornia Dolls and participate in retro-game shows and trivia contests. Enjoy your favorite Drive-In foods and souvenir vendors and complimentary nightly screenings by America's first traveling Drive-In theater. Over the weekend of Fri Oct 21st - Sun Oct 23rd is the 20th NHRA California Hot Rod Reunion at Auto Club Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield. This event is a drag race, but it is also so much more. On Fri be there for the Friday Night Reception to honor Grand Marshall Steve Gibbs and Honorees Harry Hilber, Wayne King, John Peters, Dwight Salisbury and George Santos. Experience Famoso Grove - Memory Lane, this tree filled grove serves as a living monument for drag racers and hot rodders both past and present and between the trees will be dozens of historic race cars of all kinds. There will be a swap meet & vendors midway if you want to do a bit of shopping. And don't miss the cacklefest, where you'll see dozens of nitro-burning front-engine fuelers and other classic race cars.
Also please remember if you have a show or event coming up, make sure to get me you info and I'll include in my weekly newsletter so everyone knows, and if you can flyers those would be great to for our counter customers.
So these two events sure sound like a lot of fun, but if you're looking for something a little closer to home, I'll give you a couple of "save-the-date" shows that are coming up at the end of the month.
