Hi Everyone,
Let's start with a friendly reminder....Sunday is Fathers' Day, so make sure you do a little something special for Dad. And if you haven't gotten him anything yet you can always take him to a show, the L A Roadster show is going on this weekend at the Pomona Fairgrounds and this is a huge event, both Sat June 18th and Sun June 19th from 7am - 4pm.
Also I'd like to give you a couple of "save-the-date" events that are coming up. The 17th Annual Mountain Classic Car Show in Wrightwood is on Sat August 20th from 10am - 4pm. This show is open to all Pre-1973 American made Rods, Customs, Classics, Muscle Cars and Trucks. There is also live music, food, a vendor village, an open header contest, "Pit Alley" featuring exhibition cars, a pinewood derby and trike drags for adults & kids. This is a great show in a beautiful location. And on Sun Sept 18th is the 15th Annual Mustang & Ford People's Choice Car Show "Mustangs At The Queen Mary" in Long Beach and presented by the Beach Cities Mustang Club. And I'm so happy to be able to announce that the Cruise Night at The Village Grille in Claremont will return in August and be held on the second Sat in August, Sept and Oct. Be sure to come by and show your support for this great hometown show and it's organizer Sandy at The Village Grille.
And now here's a few shows happening this coming weekend.
On Fri June 24th - Sun June 26th Barrett-Jackson, the world's greatest collector car auction, comes to the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa. Times for the event are Fri from 2pm - 8pm, Sat 2pm - 8pm and Sun 12pm - 4pm and will be covered live on SPEED channel. Ticket prices for the event are Fri $10 for Adults/$7 for Seniors, Students, Military, Sat $15 for Adults/$12 for Seniors, Students, Military, and Sun $10 for Adults/$7 for Seniors, Students, Military.
On Sat June 25th and Sun June 26th treat yourself in style at the Dana Point Concours D"Elegance Vintage Automobile Auction at the St Regis Hotel, Monarch Beach. A memorabilia auction will be held Fri June 24th with a viewing at 4pm and the auction at 7pm. On Sat the viewing is at 8am and the auction begins at 10am and on Sun the Concours event is from 8am - 4pm.
On Sat June 25th is the Living Word Assembly 4th Annual Car Show "Cruise For Christ" from 10am - 3pm at the Living Word Assembly 11887 Telephone Ave, Chino. On Sat June 25th is the 4th Annual Charity Car Show presented by the JDRF Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park on Archibald in Ontario from 8am - 3pm.
On Sun June 26th is the 35th Annual 40 Ford Day at La Palma Park in Anaheim from 9am - 3pm, the show is open to all Pre-1972 Makes & Models. On Sun June 26th is the 14th Annual "Around The Lake" Car Show presented by the Rancho Cucamonga Firefighters at Redhill Community Park (Baseline Rd & Vineyard Ave), there will be music, food, vendors, and fire apparatus, and all proceeds benefit local burn survivors.
WHEW.......that's a full weekend. There should be something for everybody from the more intimate local show to the lavish weekend events.
