Hi Everyone,
So here we are, it appears that we've reached the mid point of Summer since the stores are filling up with Back-to-School stuff. And I don't know about you but that's gone by fast, it seems like I was just filling Easter baskets and now there is Autumn decorations in the stores. Well, let me get you all some fun car shows to take in before it's time to hang those Christmas lights on the house.
On Sat July 23rd is the 1st Annual Summer Madness Bike & Car Show at Hwy 66 Choppers, 4681 Arrow Hwy, Ste C, Montclair from 9am - 3pm. The show will include food & drinks, a 50/50 raffle, and music, and the admission is FREE. If you want to show your bike in the show the entry fee is $10 (add $5 the day of) and if you'd like to show your car the entry fee is $20 (add $5 the day of). On Sat July 23rd the Ontario Rotary Police Museum presents the Guns & Hoses Car Show at the Ontario Police Dept, 2500 S Archibald Ave from 7am - 3pm. The show features police and fire vehicles from dept and private owners, and is also open to Pre 1975 Cars & Trucks, Antiques, Street Rods, Muscle Cars, Classics, and Special Interest Vehicles, and also the NEW Challengers, Camaros, and Mustangs.
On Sun July 24th Lucky 13 presents "Tiki Highway" at Don the Beachcomber, 18278 Pacific Coast Hwy, Huntington Beach from 12 noon - 7pm. The event includes a car show, art show, bands & burlesque, live Tiki carving and Tiki Farms "Tiki Terrace". Admission to the show is FREE and is open to all ages, the car show is presented by Department of Customz.
Now I'd like to give you some previews of upcoming shows.
On Sun July 31st is the San Dimas Sheriff's Booster Clubs 18th Annual San Dimas Shine It! Show It! Cruise It! in Downtown San Dimas at Bonita Ave, cruise time is at 8:30am and the car show starts at 9am - 3pm. Also on Sun July 31st is the 2nd Annual Rods & Riders Car Show at the Chino Fairgrounds, 5410 Edison Ave from 10am - 4pm. The show will include a pin up contest and live music, admission to this show is $10, contact info for this show is info@gatosrodsnriders.com .
Coming in August we will have the Fun Run 2011 at Big Bear Lake on Fri Aug 12th - Sun Aug 14th, this is a great weekend event with a car show and a Sat afternoon cruise, at 3:45 the "Cruise Around The Lake" starts in The Village. On Fri Aug 19th Richard Hibbard Chevrolet in Claremont presents Twilight Car Show & Movie Night, the car show is at 5pm with a showing of the iconic movie American Graffiti starting at 8:15. And on Sat Aug 20th is the 17th Annual Mountain Classic Car Show in Wrightwood from 10am - 4pm. This is a great show open to all Pre 1973 American Made Rods, Customs, Classics, Muscle Cars and Trucks parked among the pine trees.
And coming in Sept on Sun the 17th is the 15th Annual Mustangs at the Queen Mary in Long Beach presented by the Beach Cities Mustang Club. Come out and see the great American Muscle car in all it's glory with the majestic Queen Mary and the Pacific Ocean as their backdrop.
Of course there will be many more shows coming up but these are some to definitely mark your calendars for.
