Hi Everyone,
Well this weather now is just out of control, it's not supposed to be this cold in California and I'm even hearing they could get snow in Malibu. This is just wrong on so many levels, I just don't know what to say. It is affecting some events this weekend unfortunately, I'm hearing that the NHRA Winternationals are not going to be able to run on Saturday so I guess they will have to run into next week, so if you have tickets you want to check on any scheduling changes. Also the Norco High School Blue Diamond Brigade Car Show that had already been postponed once due to rain is now being rescheduled for March 19th.
I'll also give you some "save-the-date" events for March, so mark your calendar. On Sat Mar 12th will be the 7th Annual Highland Avenue Auto Show at Alta Loma High School from 9am - 2pm in Rancho Cucamonga, proceeds to support Highland Avenue Youth Ministries. On Sat Mar 19th and Sun Mar 20th the Sprint Boat Racing Association is hosting the 3rd Annual Lake Puddingstone Sprint Boat Race, they will be doing a LIVE WEB STREAM of the event at www.sprintboatracing.com. On Fri Mar 18th - Sun Mar 20th come out to the Auto Club FAMOSO Raceway in Bakersfield for an exciting weekend of racing featuring Grand Marshall Shirley Muldowney, 3 time NHRA Top Fuel Champion, the gates open at 8am.
Ticket packages and prices are as follows: 3 Day Pas w/VIP Upgrade $135 (adult) $90 (child 7 - 12),Fri only w/VIP Upgrade $45 (adult) $30 (child), Sat only w/VIP Upgrade $55 (adult) $35 (child), Sun only w/VIP Upgrade $55 (adult) $35 (child), Event 3 Day Pass $75, Weekend Pass (Sat & Sun only) $55, Fri only $25 (adult) $10 (child), Sat only $30 (adult) $10 (child), and Sun only $30 (adult) $10 (child). NASCAR returns to Fontana Fri Mar 25th - Sun Mar 27th with the Sprint Car Series. On Fri Mar 25th is Qualifying Day, general admission $20, kids 12 & under Free, weekend pit pass $55. On Sat Mar 26th is the NASCAR NNS 300, Grandstand seating: reserved (rows 24-48) $50, general admission $30, kids 12 & under Free, weekend pit pass $55.
And on Sun Mar 27th is the main event, the Auto Club 400 starting at 12pm PST, Grandstand seating: rows 44-48 $105, rows 32-43 $95, rows 24-33 $75, rows 15-23 $55, rows 10-14 $35, weekend pit pass $55. So it seems like the season is starting to get going again, Spring is right around the corner now and this will really start heating up with the show schedules.
