Hi Everyone,
I know that I've been away for a few weeks, have you missed me? Here is a sneak peak at our new style for our weekly newsletter. We will be officially debuting our newly designed format in the New Year, but to you select few, I'd like to get your feedback. So please tell me what you think, I'd love your input. The New Year will be bringing some more exciting new things to The Speed Shop, so, stay tuned.
Also I would also like to remind you all that we are still collecting toys for our participation with The Marine Corps Toys For Tots Toy Drive, we have a large box to fill and really needy your help to fill it. It is our goal to help the families of these brave men and women and bring smiles to their children's faces on Christmas morning.
Now let's look at what shows we've got coming up.
On Saturday December 10th is the Annual Mooneyes USA Xmas Party Show & Drag at the Toyota Speedway at Irwindale, 500 Speedway Dr, Irwindale (rain or shine) gates open at 6am. The Car Show will feature Classics, Hot Rods, Customs and everything in between and will also include The Motorcycle Alley with show bike entries from stock, mild and wild customs to hangers, swingers and knee droppers. Live bands performing during the event will be Deadbeat Daddies at 9am, Hot Rod Trio at 10am, The Dynotones at 11am, and Gamblers Mark at 12pm. There will also be an Art Auction at 2pm and a Pinup Contest at 3:30pm. On the dragstrip during the event will have 2 racing sessions, 9am-11:30am and 12:30pm-3pm and a Cacklefest at 11:30am. There will also be plenty of food & refreshments and vendors. If you've not attended this event before I would suggest checking it out.
As 2011 winds down so does the Car Show season, but we will start turning our attention towards the 2012 events, so if you have a show or event coming up please make sure to get me the info and I'll include in our weekly newsletter. I would also like to take a moment and send out a big THANK YOU to Don Grant for providing us with some of the great car show pics that we've been able to bring you.
