Hi Everyone,
Well, I don't know about you but I'm speechless about this weather, it is just CRAZY. Only last week I thought we were out of winter and now, here we go again. I'll see if I can give you some shows that will heat things up a little. I'll start with a "save-the-date" for a show coming in June, on June 11th the 17th Annual Inland Valley Street Rods Rally and Cruise on Euclid Ave in Downtown Ontario from 7am - 4pm. The show will feature all day cruising, food & entertainment including live music performed by "THE ANSWER", an open header cruise from noon - 1pm, and an open header contest at 1pm at C Street.
The show is open to any year Harley Davidson and Pre 1975 cars & trucks: Antiques, Street Rods, Muscle Cars, Classics and Special Interest Vehicles. If you are interested in participating in this show you can stop in to our location and pick up an entry form, pre-registration is now through May 26th for $25 and $30 the day of the event.
Another "save-the-date" for June is the 35th Annual 40 Ford Day at La Palma Park in Anaheim on June 26th from 9am - 3pm. The show welcomes all pre 1972 makes and models. You can also pick up an entry form from us, pre-registration is until June 10th for $30.
Now here's some events for this coming weekend. April 15th - 17th the streets of Long Beach come alive for the 37th Annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, America's #1 Street Race. The main event is the IZOD IndyCar Series featuring Helio Castroneves, Danica Patrick, Dario Franchitti, Graham Rehal, and others chasing defending champion Ryan Hunter-Reay. The weekend also features 4 other races: the Tequila Patron American LeMans Series, Drifting, Firestone Indy Lights, and SCCA Pro Racing World Challenge Championships, as well as the Pro/Celebrity Race. Also, FREE to all race ticket holders, is the Lifestyle Expo, which includes over 150 displays in automotive, home, recreation, travel and entertainment products and services.
The Lifestyle Expo also features interactive games, simulators, race cars, a video arcade, Family Fun Zone, action sports demonstrations, "you-drive-'em" race cars, a rock climbing wall. And, new this year, an Action Zipline, a 180 foot long thrill ride above the Long Beach Arena floor ( this is an additional $15 charge). Some other events going on are the 13th Annual UCI Car Show on the Green at the University of California at Irvine on Sat April 16th held at Aldrich Park from 10am - 3pm. This show is held in conjunction with a campus wide open house. Also come out to celebrate the city of Diamond Bar's 22nd Birthday Party on Sat April 16th, with a Classic Car Show held at Pantera Park from 11am - 5pm.
