Hi Everyone,
Now this is what I've been talking about....look at this weather, Southern California Springtime, doesn't get any better. What perfect weather to get out and take in a great show. Let me give you some of the events that will be coming up in May.
On Sun May 1st is the 6th Annual Edelbrock Rev'ved Up 4 Kids event held at Vic's Garage, 510 Madrid Ave in Torrence from 10am - 4pm. On Sun May 1st is the Pomona Catholic High School Booster's Car Show from 9am - 2:30pm, held at the school at the corner of White Ave and Holt Ave in Pomona. The show is open to Classics, Rods, Customs, Muscles, Trucks and Motorcycles, and will also feature a food court, a beer garden and a vendor section, as well as music by Groovetime Entertainment.
On Tues May 3rd come out for the Hope For Japan fundraiser night at the Bob's Big Boy at 3521 Hamner Ave, Norco from 4pm - 9pm. 10% of the night's proceeds will be donated to the Hope For Japan Foundation supported by the American Red Cross.
On Wed May 4th is the Twilight Cruise Night at the NHRA Museum in Pomona from 4pm - 8pm.
On Sat May 7th is the NHRA Street Legal Drags held at the Auto Club Dragway in Fontana, the gates open at 6am and races start at 9am. The cost is $20 to race your own car and $10 for spectators. Also on Sat May 7th is the Cal Poly Pomona Tractor & Car Show and Strawberry Festival from 10am - 3pm at the Farm Store at Kellogg Ranch. For the kids there will be horse rides, tractor rides and a petting zoo, and for the adults there is the car & tractor show, a farmers market food, vendors and music by Retro Ricks. Plus the strawberry festival where you can pick your own strawberries, eat them chocolate dipped, on top of a funnel cake, sip a strawberry snow cone, or take home a yummy strawberry pie.
On Fri May 13th is the 15th Annual Country Fair & Car Show at Highland Elementary School in Norco from 3:15pm - 8pm.
On Sat May 14th will be the Chino Valley Professional Firefighters 2nd Annual Car Show at the Shoppes in Chino Hills from 8am - 2pm, including food and live music. Also on Sat May 14th the Inland Empire Classic Mustang Club presents Park n' Bark Classic Car Show from 11am - 2pm at the Riverside County Animal Shelter at 6851 Van Buren Blvd and the show will also feature a special pet adoption.
On Sat May 21st is the 5th Annual West Coast All AMC Car Show at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, starting at 10am.
On Sun May 29th the Golden West Chevelle and El Caminos presents the 14th Annual Chevelle and El Camino Appreciation Night at Legends Classic Diner at 1155 Route 66 in Glendora from 3pm - 7pm.
And over Memorial weekend, May 29th - 31st, will be the 4th Annual LA Invasion, A Muscle Car Event. On Sun May 29th is the Rim of the World Cruise to Big Bear. On Mon May is TNT Drag Race, which will include a car show, DJ music, raffles and a bikini contest, event hours are 9am - 5pm. And on Tues May 31st will be bracket racing and TNT drag racing in Fontana from 9am - 5pm. For all the weekends event details go to www.losangelesinvasion.com.
WHEW!!!!!! Well there you go, just some of the things to look forward to and mark your calendar for in May.
