Hi Everyone,
I hope you all got lots of treats in October and no tricks! I also hope you were able to take in some of the great shows that were held throughout the month. We attended the Fall Harvest Cruise at Cable Airport and the Pumpkin Patch Show in La Verne and a great friend of THE SPEED SHOP Don Grant went to the Baldy View Ford Show at Memorial Park in Upland and there will be pictures up on our website of those shows by this weekend, at www.caeperformance.com.
And we would like to give a big THANK YOU to Don for the pictures. Now I know everyone has turkey and pumpkin pie on their minds now that we've entered November and of course your weekends will now be dedicated to Christmas shopping (hohoho), but mark your calendars for these events and try and fit them in. On Saturday Nov 7th from 2pm-7pm id the Toys For Tots Car Show at the Chino Cafe, 3785 Riverside Dr, Chino. The show is open to all makes and models and there will be 6 trophies handed out; 1st, 2nd, 3rd for Best in Show and Peoples Choice; they will also have a DJ and a jumper for the kids, please bring a new, unwrapped toy for the USMC.
Then on Sunday Nov 8th from 10am-2pm at Memorial Park in Upland the Old Skool 66 Cruzers will be having their Holiday Car Show, the enterance fee will be $10 and a new, wrapped toy for donation to the Upland Firefighters Spark Of Love Toy Drive and a BBQ lunch will be available. Now for all of you who love to go fast, Nov 12th-15th the NHRA Finals are coming to the raceway at the Pomona Fairgrounds, check our website for daily times and events. And the Irwindale Speedway will be holding a Swap Meet on Sunday Nov 22nd from 6am-3pm, general admission is $8 and parking is free. On Saturday Nov 28th the 12th Annual Cruisin La Verne for the Holidays Car Show and Toy Drive in Old Town La Verne from 9am-4pm.
Toys will be donated to the Spark Of Love and distributed to the needy children of La Verne. Santa Claus will also be at the show to visit with all the good little boys and girls. And to round out the month on Sunday Nov 29th is the 3rd Annual Antique, Classic & Hot Rod Car Show at the Stor-N-Lock, 10975 Arrow Rte, Rancho Cucamonga, at the corner of Arrow Rte and White Oak from 10am-3pm, entry to the show is free with the donation of a new, unwrapped toy for the USMC. Well, I hope you all enjoy the weather change and that everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday filled with lots of family, friends and food.
