June 4th Newsletter

  Hi Everyone,

Well I hope you all are recovered from your Memorial Day weekend and ready to start planning next trip. The weather is really warming up and it just makes you want to be outside (but don't forget your sunscreen). So here's what's coming up. The 7th Annual Ink & Iron Show at the Queen Mary in Long Beach June 11th - June 13th. This sounds like an interesting event, it combines a car show with Hot Rods and Kustoms and a tattoo show which will cover 3 floors inside the ship, with 280 of the best tattoo artists in the world from 30 states and 25 countries representing all tattoo styles. Other attractions will also be an art exhibit, aerial showgirls, live bands, cabaret & burlesque show, pin-up pageant, movies on the Green, and a tattoo contest. This is an amazing location for such an interesting show and it would be very easy to make a full day of it. On Sat June 12th the Le Roy's Car Show in Old Town La Verne from 8am-3pm. The O.C. BBQ Festival & Classic Car Show on Sat June 12th from 10am-4pm at the O.C. Fair & Events Center, 88 Fair Dr, Costa Mesa sounds like a lot of fun. This car show will also feature the State Championship BBQ Competition, a kids zone, a rib eating contest, live music & entertainment, and the 1st ever "Mr BBQ" pageant. Sat June 12th the City of Perris presents Rods & Rails 11th Annual Car & Motorcycle Show Extravaganza at the Orange Empire Railway Museum, 2201 South "A" St, Perris 92570. This is a 79 acre park, home to antique trains, trolley, and cable car exhibits. See 1800's U.S. Territorial Marshalls Organization historical reenactments, and enjoy a day of fun in the park with live music, a potato festival and vendors. The Summerfest Car Show at Pat & Oscars is on Sat June 12th from 4pm-8pm at 690 E Hospitality Ln, San Bernardino. On Sun June 13th the Oldskool Cruzers present their Hope For Life Car Show benefiting the City of Hope at Memorial Park in Upland, 10am-2pm. The show is open to all cars and bikes and will also feature live music, good food, raffles and fun and 100% of your donations goes towards cancer research. The Inland Empire Mustang Club presents the Wings & Wheels Car Show on Sun June 13th at the Corona Airport, 1900 Aviation Dr, 92280 from 10am-2pm. Show is open to Pre-1974 Classic Cars & Trucks, and will include music, food and raffles. Also on Sun June 13th the Southern California Timing Association will hold the 2010 El Mirage & Bonneville Land Speed Racing Event at the El Mirage Dry Lake in So Cal. I'd also like to give you a "save-the-date" event coming in July; Rods & Rides 1st Annual Car & Motorcycle Show at the Chino Fairgrounds, 5410 Edison Ave in Chino on July 25th from 8am-4pm. The show is open to all Pre-1972 cars and all bikes. If you are interested in showing your car or bike in this show you can pick up an entry form at our location, $20 pre-registration until July 7th and $25 the day of the show. You can also contact the shows organizer Fred at (909) 705-9117 or email fredkat10@yahoo.com. I'd also like to remind you that if you know of an event coming up please get me the info and I will make sure to get it out to everyone. Also with boating season now starting up we would love to know of any boat events so we can get those out to our boat customers. So any of these shows should make for a fun day out in the sun, and who knows I might see you there.
