July 16th Newsletter

  Hi Everyone,

Well, I guess I spoke too soon last week about the weather cause this is just CRAZY!!!! Temps around 100 and how about that monsoon type weather on Thursday afternoon, INSANE!!! So let's look towards next weekend and keep our fingers crossed that the heat let's up so we can take in some of these cool shows. On Sat July 24th is the 4th Annual Oak Glen Car Show from 8am - 3pm and will have a special appearance by DJ Vic Slick from KOLA 99.9 radio. The Mountain Classics 4th Annual Car & Motorcycle Show "Ride'n on the Rim" will be on Sat July 24th from 8:30am - 4pm at Lake Gregory Regional Park in Crestline and is sponsored by VFW Post #9624 and it's Auxiliaries. The show will be open to all Hot Rods, Customs, Corvettes, Trucks, Specialty's and Motorcycles. On Sat July 24th the L.A. County Sheriffs Dept Century Station presents the 4th Annual Car - Truck - Motrorcycle Show "The Event Of The Century" at ALADS Building, 2 Cupania Circle, Monterey Park and will feature live music, a DJ and raffles. On Sun July 25th the San Dimas Sheriff's Booster Club presents the 17th Annual San Dimas Shine It! Show It! Cruise It! from 10am - 3pm in downtown San Dimas on Bonita Ave. I highly recommend this show, it is a really good time and is put on to raise money for a very good cause. San Dimas Methodist Church will be serving their "fantastic ranch breakfast" for only $6 from 7am - 11am. The show will be open to Antiques, Street Rods, Classics, Special Interest, Full Size Trucks, and Motorcycles, and the show will also feature music by IMPULSE, raffle prizes and cold beer. The 1st Annual Rods & Riders Car and Bike Show will be held on Sun July 25th at the Chino Fairgrounds, 5410 Edison Ave from 8am - 4pm and is open to all Pre 1972 cars and bikes. The show admission is $5 for adults, kids 12 and under free and will feature live music by Wandering Wolf Records recording artists, food and vendors. A huge event on Sun July 25th is the Lexani Lifestyle Festival at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, the event will feature a car show, amusement park rides and carnival games, a star studded line up of pro riders in the FMX Motocross section, a Hammer Down Dyno RBP Challenge, some of the top pro and amateurs will show off their moves in a MMA Demo, the show will include a concert with H. Wood / Rich Boy / Cali Swag District / Roscoe Dash / Auburn and will be hosted by KROQ's Lightening and POWER105.9 DJ's, and the Miss Lexani Lifestyle Festival 2010 will be crowned. For the car show there will be many trophies awarded in areas such as Best Luxury, Best SUV, Best Interior, Best Old School, Best Paint, Best Lifted Truck, Best Mini Truck, Most Powerful Truck Dyno, Best Import/European, Best Domestic, Best Low Rider, and many, many more. For more info on this event go to On Sun July 25th WyoTech will present the 16th Annual Peoples Choice Car Show "Calling All Cars" from 10am - 3pm at WyoTech, 2161 Technology Pl, Long Beach, 90810, this show is open to all years, makes and models and will feature food, games, auto tech demos, a WyoTech facility tour, music, DJ, and raffles. So hopefully you can get out and beat the heat at one of these great events, and you never know, you might be behind me at the cold drink stand.
