Hi Everyone,
Well, here we are approaching the "unofficial" end of summer and it seems that it's going out with a bang, these crazy temps over 100 degrees are too much for me. With the Labor Day holiday it seems that this weekend is a little light on the shows, so I'll give you a "save-the-date" for Sept 16-19, the 21st Annual Route 66 in San Bernardino, Thurs and Fri 6pm - 10pm, Sat 10am - 9pm, Sun 10am - 4pm, during the weekend the show will feature a burn out contest, a neon light contest, an open header contest and more, checkout the Route 66 website for all the shows details at www.route-66.org. They will be giving out the Crusin' Hall Of Fame 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award to DJ Charlie Tuna. Now for this weekend, on Sat Sept 4th and Sun Sept 5th the Ventura Nationals Hot Rod & Motorcycle Show will be held at the Ventura County Fairgrounds, 10 West Harbor Blvd, gates open at 9am and admission is $10 general, $5 active military and children under 12 are free. The show will feature live music, a silent auction, a pin up contest and a model car contest. I would also like to remind everyone that we here at THE SPEED SHOP have devoted and entire section of our website to promoting car clubs and making sure that we provide the info to these clubs to anyone interested in joining one, so if you are involved in a car or truck club please email me so that we can include your club on our site. Also we are very proud to be able to showcase our customers along with their cars on our Our Customers page on our site, so if you haven't already come by here to have us get pictures please stop in we'd love to add you.
