Good-Bye July....Hello August!!!
So it seems that most kids are starting back to school this week, I'm so used to school starting in September but here we go. And what about this heat....OMG 102 today and this humidity is a killer!!!!
And let's not forget that the LA COUNTY FAIR begins on September 4, this is always a lot of fun for the whole family.
August is alittle slow for shows, but let's take a look at what's coming up.
On Wednesday August 5 is this months Twilight Cruise Night at the NHRA Museum from 3-7pm, this is a free event and the ectends their hours for the event with $5 admission after 5pm. You can see a list of all of their upcoming events on their website, and remember that there will be no cruise night in September due to the fair. www.museum.nhra.com
On Saturday August 8 is the 26th Anniversary of the Fun Run in Downtown Lake Big Bear city, event starts at 8am with the cruise around the lake at 3pm.
On Saturday August 15 is the 21st Annual Mountain Classic Car Show in Wrightwood from 10am-4pm. This event showcases pre-1973 American Rods, Customs, Classics, Muscle Cars and Trucks. In addition to the many cool cars, you can take part in a Poker Walk, where five businesses give out one playing card each. The winner with the best hand wins $100. Also on tap is an Open Header contest in which the roar of the crowd determines the car with the loudest engine; and Pit Alley, where children and adults can participate in low-rider trike drags.

On Saturday August 29 is the Bob's Big Boy Norco monthly Car Showfrom 5-8pm, this months theme is Las Vegas Night. Be sure to bring the whole family because this is a great time for everyone.

Over the weekend of September 18-20 at the Auto Club Dragway in Fontana is the 4th Annual NMCA West Street Car Nationals, sponsored by Energy Suspension. For rules and complete information go to their website at www.nmcawest.com
